The LaCie Bigger Disk Extreme, 2 TB hard drive is our lastest tech toy. We have only had it for about two weeks, but so far we love it. We are using the Firewire 800 interface which makes our onsite backups rock. This drive is so quiet I cannot hear it running even with it sitting on my desktop about two feet from where I sit ALLLLLL day. Before I bought this drive I tried one of the My Book Editions by Western Digital. I have heard trains that run quieter. Needless to say, I took it back. Anyway, love the LaCie. It has cut my backups in half. Jeff.
