Jekyll Island Wedding | Ruth Carradice and Jay Bradley

This very artsy couple was in search of a unique look for their intimate wedding and found just that at the Jekyll Island Club. The couple held an outdoor ceremony on the live oak draped lawn between Crane Cottage and the river front. There couldn’t have been a more perfect setting on any more beautiful day than this late October afternoon.
The ceremony was followed by a cocktail hour on the formal lawn of Crane Cottage and then dinner in the courtyard. As the sun set over Jekyll River, guests were served a gourmet meal with a selection of fine wines.
The couple and their guests danced and celebrated into the night with music provided by Joe Clark Big Band.

This has become one of my favorite places to photograph a wedding. It is full of unbelievable scenery and the staff at the JI Club are so great to work with.

Wedding | Elizabeth and Max

Elizabeth and Max chose to have their wedding ceremony at the very intimate Quitman United Methodist Church. This sanctuary has to be one of the most beautiful in the South Georgia area. It has a gorgeous rounded mahogany wood ceiling and grand stained glass windows. It also happens to be the church that Elizabeth’s family has attended for generations.
Max and Elizabeth shared their celebration with hundreds of friends and family members at a reception at Pine Ridge Lodge. There were vibrant shades of orange and yellow floral arrangements accenting tables across the front lawn of the lodge. What a perfect day these two had to begin this new chapter of their lives. We wish you guys all the best for many years to come. Wouldn’t it be awesome to find yourselves attending a wedding of one of your grandchildren at this same church some day?

Wedding | Elizabeth and Chase

Elizabeth has unbelievable blue eyes which I will show you later. Julie keeps looking over here as I edit this wedding saying “she looks like a Barbie Doll” and she does. Simply gorgeous. Just wait until you see the rest.

Here is another one of my favorites that I shot of Elizabeth and her dad just before they entered the sanctuary.

This was the first time I had ever seen Elizabeth’s father as he walked up that day. Yet, somehow I knew, as I usually do, who he was. You can just usually tell.

This post started with one image and has evolved throughout the day. For me it has become an inspiration for the future of my career in photography. From this point forward I will start showing you the pivotal moments of documentary wedding photography.

Valdosta Wedding | Christina and Will

I believe it was September that we gave you a sneak peek at Christina and Will’s wedding. At the time we promised to post more images soon. Okay, so it’s not so soon, but here it is in all its gorgeousness (we love to make up descriptive words!)
Not even a hurricane could dampen the spirits of this couple. The rains came, the wind blew, but none of that prevented Christina and Will’s friends and family from turning out for an absolutely beautiful wedding. Christina’s Maggie Sottero Gown from Uniquely Yours in Tifton, Georgia, was one of our favorites of 2008 and she looked so elegant in it!
The couple chose to have their reception at the Valdosta Country Club which made a perfect backdrop to their formal portraits with it’s beautiful gold tones. What an awesome wedding for such a great couple!

I will never forget the first time I met Christina. It was at the bridal show last year. She came up to our booth and introduced herself and one of the first things she said to me was, “I just love ya’ll!” And she still loves us! We love you too Christina. I am so happy we were able to photograph yours and Will’s wedding and more than that I’m glad we became friends!
