Thank you so much to everyone who nominated us this year for the Valdosta Daily Times Best Photographer of South Georgia. We are flattered. If you have time to vote and actually like us then cruise on over to the The Valdosta Daily Times’ website and cast your vote. If you don’t like us then don’t worry about voting because it takes up about five good minutes of your time. You will see us listed as Gandy Photography which is not our name, but they are actually talking about us. I keep thinking they will realize that our name is Gandy Photographers one day. Oh well, if you are reading this then you know who we are. Oh yeah, one more thing. You have to vote before February 4th for it to count. Thanks again for showing us the love!
Joe and Sherry celebrated their wedding day on Tybee Island, just east of Savannah, Georgia. With Sherry’s background in wedding photography, these two really had a vision of what they wanted in a beach wedding. They certainly made it a memorable event for all in attendance. With the landmark lighthouse silhouetted against a gorgeous sunset, the couple said their vows facing the Atlantic Ocean. Sherry and Joe, we were honored to be a part of your day and wish you countless years of happiness.

If you are in the process of planning a wedding, you are in luck! It’s time for the 2009 South Georgia Bridal Show. This year’s show will be held on Saturday, January 24th at the James Rainwater Conference Center in Valdosta, GA. There is no better place than this to sample, see, and meet all that South Georgia has to offer in weddings! Make sure to allow yourself plenty of time to browse through the many booths displaying local Valdosta vendors and their work. You’ll meet caterers, photographers, florists, jewelers, and many more. You’ll even get to register for great door prizes given away throughout the day as well as grand prizes at the end of the show.
You will not want to miss your opportunity to take in all the fun and excitement that this show has to offer. We look forward to seeing you there! Happy Wedding Planning.
Check out Maddie’s heels and Jake’s cool socks. Man, I can’t wait to do a full post of this wedding. Awesomeness all the way around!
I’m sitting here drinking my morning caffeine cocktail while I read the latest Southern Weddings Magazine. This is by far the best issue yet in my opinion, but that may be a biased opinion because one of our weddings is featured in this issue! We received our copy early, but the magazine will hit the stands tomorrow so make sure to get yourself a copy. If you want to get an issue today it is already available at Books A Million here in Valdosta.
This issue features one of our awesome couples and several of the wedding vendors who made this wedding such a great success. Susanna Dover and Justin Martin make a wonderful couple and we are so excited that their wedding was chosen for this premiere issue.
