Here are just a few of our favorite shots from Austin’s session we did a couple weeks ago. He is quite a handsome young man. His mom asked me to come out to their home and shoot these with his horse. Of course, I was happy to do that. It’s always great to have something new to add to the mix. I especially loved Grandpa’s old broken down barn we were able to incorporate. Austin said he had spent a lot of time out there helping with the cows, so I know it was a special place to him. Hope you enjoy! Julie

I just figured out I have ten weddings to blog in order to catch up. Here are the next four you will see in the coming week or so. We have been working on some really exciting projects lately that have taken up some of our blogging time. So get ready to see many new faces on the blog and website soon. Also, follow us to see what we have been working on over the last few months.

If you would like to know more about us than you get to see on our website and blog then read on.

We have had the most fun following our friends, relatives, and others in the photography profession using both Facebook and Twitter. These links will be on our Follow Jeff and Julie Page if you look for them in the future, but why not just start following us with your Twitter or Facebook account now. You can also see who we are following. You may even find some else you know.
It is so great seeing what others are doing. I have found out about some awesome tunes and have been able to see family photos that just would not have been possible otherwise. We look forward to hearing from you.
I’m working today to finish editing Christina and Will’s gorgeous wedding. You can follow the progress on my twitter feed by clicking HERE. Enjoy these two beautiful shots of Christina until I publish the entire wedding coming sometime very soon. Jeff.

What’s on Their Shopping Lists? Pro Photographers Share Their Buying Strategies
Photographers’ buying habits are as diverse as their capture styles, personalities and clientele. I recently interviewed six wedding/portrait and commercial shooters to find out their favorite brands, where they buy their staple products, what they expect in customer service, and what’s on their shopping lists for this fall and winter. Here’s some of what they said.
Jeff and Julie Gandy own Gandy Photographers (gandyphotographers.com), a wedding and portrait studio in Valdosta, Georgia. They buy most of their staple products at B&H Photo – Video in New York City. Among the products they use “everyday, all day long” are the Canon EOS-1D Mark III, 1D Mark II and 5D; a range of Canon lenses; Canon 580EX II Speedlites; and …….. READ THE FULL ARTICLE ONLINE
If you don’t receive Photo Industry Reporter you can read the full article online. We were interviewed by Alice B. Miller along with five other photographers about the equipment we use everyday and what we plan to purchase in the near feature. We were also asked to provide insight into the retailers we rely on for equipment purchases and what we look for in those we purchase from.~Jeff
