Because there are so many great shots from Dustin and Katie’s wedding I am going to start with just a few and make another post later to show the rest. This post will be limited to just the two VIP’s. Here are a few of my favorites. By the way Katie, Julie and I love your dress.
Around South Georgia most hunters have to get up at 5am and sit in a deer stand for hours to see deer. Julie’s cousin Jeff sent us a few images from his neighborhood in Colorado. Apparently, Jeff would have deer walking through his house if he left the doors open. He says he has deer walking through his yard all the time and has to stop frequently when driving through the middle of town for the deer to pass. Jeff only hunts with his point and shoot camera, but manages to get some great shots. He says “My problem is running the risk of getting in an accident when I spot deer. I still get excited all the time…I get all over the road ..trying to get their pictures…”

VSU GAME: As Julie and I got ready for a late afternoon wedding yesterday, we watched the Valdosta State Blazers win the NCAA Division II National Championship. They defeated Northwest Missouri in Florence, Alabama Saturday 25-20. The game was televised on ESPN2. It was cool seeing many of our friends and customers in the stands cheering them on. If you are familiar with the tradition of football in the Valdosta and Lowndes County area you know why we are known as Winnersville. We were proud to see our alma mater win their second national title in four years.
LHS GAME: State Champions again! We managed to see bits and pieces of the Lowndes High School football game at the wedding reception we were shooting at the Valdosta Country Club. The final score of this game was 34-6, bringing home the third AAAAA state title in the last four years. This is the second time VSU and LHS has won national and state titles in the same year. The best thing about this year is they did it on the same day. Congratulations to both teams for their victories.
