Since this is a new blog and we are playing catch up here is some old news. We were featured in the August 2006 issue of Studio Photography Magazine. This was back in the days when we still had the name Southern Portraits. We changed our name soon after this to Gandy Photographers. Going through the process of a name change is a pain, but it has really payed off for us. We hope it was not to confusing to our clients.

We used the name change as an opportunity to make many more changes to benefit us, and most of all, our clients. Probably the biggest change we made was redoing our outdoor studio. We added a waterfall with stream that flows into a small fish pond. Put in St. Augustine grass which is now about 3.5 inches thick and dark green. We also added a gazebo, brick walkway, and a black iron fence for our child portrait sessions. The kids don’t even won’t to leave after their portrait session is over. Oh ya, we also added hundreds of new plants that bloom throughout the entire year.

Guess we should have titled this post [Name Change and Outdoor Studio]. Oh well, we are not very good at talking about ourselves, but we are going to try so you are able to get to know us better. If you think of something you would like for us to post just let us know. We are going to do our best to post something new everyday.
